Many people know us for our quality drain cleaning services, but did you know that Roto-Rooter is also the nation’s largest and most trusted full-service plumbing company? We take plumbing very seriously, because a plumbing emergency can mean disruption to your family, and lost productivity and revenue for BUSINESSES. Our technicians are professionally trained to service buildings and homes of any type or size, including industrial, retail and corporate-grade plumbing and fixtures, efficiently and expeditiously. From replacing a sink to backed-up sewer lines and emergency flooding, Roto-Rooter technicians can handle whatever plumbing challenges you may face.
Sewer and Drain Cleaning
The most common cause of sewer drain blockages is simple buildup, typically from dirt, debris and mineral deposits. If you work in a restaurant or food processing facility, you know that grease and other organic matter can build up in pipes and drain lines very quickly. So what are you supposed to do when these blockages happen? Call Roto-Rooter. We have been cleaning sewers and drains since 1935. There is no job too big or too small for us and―trust us―we’ve seen it all!
Trenchless Pipe Repair
Over time, pipes can corrode, crack, and misalign. This allows access for tree roots and other objects to enter into the lines. This can result in blockages and a reduction in waste water flow from your home or place of business to the municipal lines. In some cases, it can also mean sewage overflows, which can create devastation. Roto-Rooter offers “trenchless” methods to replace cracked, broken or leaking pipes without digging, minimizing disruption to people or your property.
Pipe relining is the process of repairing a damaged sewer pipe by lining it with a new “pipe-within-a-pipe.” The existing pipe is cleaned and then lined with a pre-cut and measured felt liner. The liner is saturated in resins and inserted into the existing pipe.It is then inflated and cured to harden, taking the shape of the host pipe. The result is 100% restoration of function and flow in less time and for less money than traditional dig and replace methods.
Similar to pipe relining, pipe bursting requires only two small access holes and is especially useful when you want to replace a damaged pipe with one of equal (or even larger) size, or if the existing pipe is out of capacity. This cost-effective method can be used advantageously to reduce damage to pavements, parking lots and building structures, while minimizing disruption overall.
Roto-Rooter’s highly trained technicians provide comprehensive assessments and recommendations using specially designed, self-propelled video cameras. They allow us to visually inspect sewer lines from two to 36 inches in diameter. Our high-resolution cameras record grease buildup, leaks, broken pipe and obstructions, such as roots. The video inspection allows us to locate the line, identify the compromise and determine the best course of rehabilitation or repair for each unique job.
High Pressure Jetting
Roto-Rooter uses state-of-the-art water jetting equipment to safely and effectively clean even the most highly obstructed pipes. A hose is propelled by water into the sewer line under tremendous pressure. The sewer line is cleaned by powerful forward and reverse jets of water, which wash the scale, silt, sand, grease and other materials back to the manhole for removal. The debris is responsibly removed from the line, minimizing the chance of future blockages.
Leak Detection and Line Locating
Have a water leak but can’t find the source? Whether it is in a mainline, an irrigation leak or someplace in-between, Roto-Rooter’s highly experienced technicians will locate it. Thanks to our cutting edge equipment and technical expertise, Roto-Rooter will quickly locate the source and put measures in place to decrease the cost and waste of water loss. Roto-Rooter can also help locate telecommunication, natural gas, fiber optics, television, and other utility lines before digging in order to prevent any damages or injuries.
Grease Trap Pumping
Restaurants and other businesses that are involved in food services and wastes―particularly animal fats and vegetable oils that flow through the kitchen plumbing system before they reach sanitary sewer lines―know only too well they must clean grease traps regularly to keep business running without odor or back-up. Roto-Rooter dependably and professionally vacuums, pumps and hauls the waste from septic tanks, grease traps, catch basins and other liquid waste receptacles, such as car wash pumps. We provide safe, legal disposal of the waste, and always put our environment first.
Backflow Testing and Repair
Backflow is the reverse flow of dirty water contaminated with feces, pesticides, chemicals, fertilizer and other materials through clean water lines. Most commercial properties are required by law to have backflow meters tested and certified every year. Roto-Rooter technicians perform annual backflow testing, repairs, installation and backflow certification of all types of prevention devices. Your technician will handle all necessary paperwork relating to your annual inspection. We will also remind you when your next annual backflow testing is due so your property remains in good standing with the local water authority. A Roto-Rooter backflow expert can inspect your plumbing system to verify that your property is equipped with the proper backflow device or devices.
